Started measuring emissions

In 2024, Langtons began measuring a baseline for its greenhouse gas emissions with help from carbon management specialists Trace. The calculation covered Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions. Scope 1 means emissions the company makes directly, Scope 2 means emissions from the energy it buys, and Scope 3 means wider emissions in its supply chain. A baseline is the starting point for later cuts, because it shows where the biggest impacts are.

Expanded wine classification

Langtons launched the first edition of its International Wine Classification, building on a system it says has tracked market demand, liquidity, and auction performance for Australian wine since 1990. This is not a direct environmental action, but it is part of how the business organises its fine wine market activity. The company says the new list covers 160 wines from several major wine regions, which shows it is still active in the secondary wine market and related services.
