Lady Alamo Sustainability Actions

Founded and produced locally

In 2011 wife & husband team Yiva & Bryce began printing and sewing bags out of their tiny apartment in San Francisco’s Alamo Square neighborhood, home of the Painted Ladies (Alamo Square + Painted Ladies = Lady Alamo). Having since moved into the City’s Mission District, the commitment to producing locally and finding happiness through design remains.

Uses natural materials

At Lady Alamo we strive to create everyday items that bring joy with each use. Focusing on natural materials, versatility and of course color, we’ve created a variety of Zipper Pouches, Backpacks and Reversible bags that you will want to show off every chance you get.

Manufactures in-house

Why manufacture in-house? Producing in-house allows our designers, seamstresses and graphic artists to work closely together, fostering a creative environment. Lady Alamo’s products are not just one person’s idea, it’s a collective effort with input from every team member. Designing and manufacturing under one roof also helps to ensure a smooth operation and reduces our carbon footprint.

Makes reversible bags

We spend a lot of time thinking about versatility at Lady Alamo. It’s a feature that’s important to us and we incorporate it into many of our products with our reversible designs. With a solid color on one side and a custom print on the other, it’s perfect for work, school, daytime outings, and some new parents even tell us they’ve turned it into a diaper bag!
