We’re committed to powering our data centres with 100% renewable energy from the sun, wind, and sea. Rather than relying on offsets, we ensure our operations are directly powered by clean energy wherever possible.

Low-PUE data centres

All our data centres operate with a PUE rating of 1.2 or lower. Our flagship UK datacentre has a PUE of 1.10, meaning only 5% of its energy is used for infrastructure like cooling and power, with the rest reaching the servers.

Trees planted for customers

For every Krystal customer, we plant a tree each month. Through partnerships with global tree-planting organisations, we’ve helped rebuild communities and restore natural habitats.

Employee emissions offset

We also take responsibility for the carbon footprint of our team. Every Krystal employee has their emissions offset—not just for the time they work with us, but for their past footprint before joining too.

Planted millions of trees

So far, we have planted over 3,000,000 trees through Veritree. With Ecologi, we have planted over 1,000,000 worldwide.

Rewilding the Highlands

We worked with Trees for Life, a Scotland-based charity dedicated to rewilding the Highlands with biodiverse forests. Together, we planted 19,120 trees across the Highlands, helping to restore natural habitats and support a healthy wildlife ecosystem.
