The brand says its nappies are made with plant-based materials on baby's skin, made from sugarcane, and that its absorbent core is made from bio-based SAP and wood fluff pulp from sustainably managed forests. It also says its packaging is made from paper and 100% recyclable.

Carbon neutral plant

Kit & Kin says its nappies are produced in a carbon neutral plant in the Czech Republic, and that its wipes manufacturer is a climate neutral company.

Rainforest protection

The company says that every 10 babies in Kit & Kin nappies equals 1 acre of precious rainforest saved, with land purchased in Argentina, Ecuador, Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, Kenya and Zambia. It also says that for every 10 Kit & Kin nappy subscriptions sold, it will purchase and protect one acre of rainforest through the World Land Trust.

Every purchase also helps fund educational scholarships and healthcare clinics. The Kit & Kin Foundation provides health care support in Sierra Santa Cruz in Guatemala, educational scholarships, and regular donations of nappies to baby banks up and down the UK.

Kit & Kin says its skincare only uses pure oils, gentle herbs and the cleanest ingredients made from natural sources as opposed to petroleum jelly. It also says its skincare is certified natural by the COSMOS association and clinically tested to ensure it is hypoallergenic and approved by dermatologists.
