Top packaging performance

Rainwater use at factory

Jurlique International has reduced its water consumption by installing a rainwater tank underground at its factory and using rainwater to flush toilets and for other purposes. Jurlique Farm also collects rainwater in tanks in case of water shortages during dry summers.

Efficient irrigation on farm

Jurlique Farm has introduced efficient irrigation systems for growing herbs and such like. The system measures the amount of water in the soil and sprays the amount of water necessary. Since the system uses groundwater and rainwater, the farm does pay for the water.

Packaging redesign criteria

Jurlique International has changed up to 94% of the containers and packaging in its RARE ROSE series to the use of renewable materials. The company has set five criteria for product design: resource saving, design simplicity, recyclability, prioritizing local suppliers and recycling and prioritizing renewable materials.
