iXcampus Sustainability Actions

Delivered design school project

This 2,400 m² building, now home to the design students of CY Cergy Paris Université, is the result of a close co-design collaboration between Studio SAME architectes and AIA Life Designers + AIA Environnement + ART Acoustique + DJAO-RAKITINE Paysage. From competition to delivery, our teams worked in full synergy — integrating structural, environmental, and acoustic expertise from the earliest design stages to ensure performance was never a compromise, but a driver of the architecture itself.

Used low-tech design approach

What makes this project stand out: an environmental benchmark through early-stage integrated design → Bio- and geo-sourced materials at the core: local stone façades, exposed timber floors, and a wood-frame structure using Stora Enso CLT panels → A low-tech, passive-first approach: south-facing classrooms optimised for natural light and comfort, north-facing offices for visual performance, and vegetated light wells bringing daylight to underground spaces → Long-term adaptability: a post-and-beam structure designed for spatial flexibility and reversibility of use — reducing future carbon impact.

Worked on food court offer

FOOD COURT IXCAMPUS - ST GERMAIN EN LAYE Design of a collective dining offer in a food court format, including culinary identity definition, offer structuring, recipe creation, and team training.

Hosted sustainability meeting

The session will encourage an open discussion on what works well, what is challenging, and what companies need at different stages of their sustainability journey. Participants will gain practical insight into how both digital solutions and straightforward approaches can help bring more clarity and structure to measuring sustainability actions in the photonics industry.
