Made in New York

At Ivey Abitz, we know who makes our clothing: we do. We meticulously design every piece sewn by our family of tailors who live right here in New York. Only 2% of garments sold in the USA are made in this country. Bespoke Ivey Abitz clothing is a rarity indeed.

Garments made one at a time

We create garments, one at a time, chosen by you from our selection of exquisite European and American fabrics. This is the quality clothing of museums and heirloom treasures, meant to be worn and enjoyed every day. Contrast this with fast fashion that is causing a landfill crisis.

Natural fibres used

Ivey Abitz uses the highest quality natural fibers like linen, wool, cotton, and silk. Synthetic fabrics have dangerous environmental drawbacks because they are a type of plastic made from petroleum. They will take hundreds, if not thousands, of years to biodegrade.

Designed to last

Ivey Abitz outlasts fashion trends because good design simply does not expire. With proper care, Ivey Abitz garments can be heirlooms that are passed on to the next generation.

Bias-bound seams

All Ivey Abitz garments are finished with bias bound seams instead of serged edges so your garments actually look just as refined on the inside as they do on the outside. Interior serged edges save construction time and expense, but the extra polyester thread and bulk it creates next to the skin is unsightly and unnecessary.

Animal rescue work

Cynthia spends much of her time as an animal rescue coordinator. She organizes animal rescue transports to pull dogs and cats from animal control to prevent euthanasia, then safely delivers them to no-kill animal sanctuaries that find the best homes possible.

Portion of proceeds donated

A portion of all proceeds goes to Animal Saints Rescue Society, an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded by Ivey Abitz.
