What do our labels mean?

Icelantic Skis describes its mission as helping customers “Return to Nature” through long lasting products that combine art and functionality. Icelantic Skis Sustainability Actions

Climate Neutral certified

Icelantic is happy to announce that we have been officially re-certified Climate Neutral for 2022! We are offsetting 100% of our 2021 emissions including the emissions required to source, produce, and ship our products. By quantifying our carbon emissions, we were able to set actionable reduction targets and find new ways to make our operations more efficient.

Switched HQ to solar power

We’ve switched to solar! We now procure 100% solar energy for our headquarters in Golden, Colorado. As of late 2020, we’re working with a solar garden right down the street, Native Suns LLC, as well as our utility company to source 100% of our electricity usage at our headquarters and retail shop from renewable solar energy.

Updated company vehicle

We’ve updated our company vehicle to Jeep’s new Hybrid Electric Wrangler for better fuel efficiency and fully electric capabilities.

B Corp certification

Icelantic is a Certified B Corporation as well as certified Climate Neutral, representing their commitment to bringing customers the highest quality product possible and creating a sustainable business.

Uses recycled apparel materials

ENVIRONMENT: We commit to taking steps in improving our environment and our company’s impact. We track and offset our carbon emissions and are certified Climate Neutral. We have already incorporated measures such as upgrading to sustainable packaging, using recycled materials for our apparel, powering our HQ through Solar, and more – and we will only continue to add to this list.

Annual sustainability report

In Fall 2022 Icelantic will be releasing our first annual sustainability impact report that will outline in greater detail our Climate Neutral Certification, operational changes, and future commitments to people, planet and profits.

Reduce air shipments

We are already planning for next season where we hope to drastically reduce the number of air shipments and the large amount of emissions that come from airfreight.

Change packaging materials

As Icelantic has continued to grow it has become clear that we need to reevaluate and pioneer new ways to package and ship skis around the world. We will be working with local partners to try and change the materials that go with a pair of skis as they are delivered to our customers.
