Fully recyclable packaging
Heel Tread says it aims to transition to 100% recyclable or compostable packaging by March 2026. The company states that this would replace the remaining plastic components used for product protection during shipping and make the packaging easier for customers to recycle at home.

The company plans to complete its first full emissions audit covering Scope 1, Scope 2, and key Scope 3 emissions by December 2026. It says the work will use a third-party platform or consultant, with findings to be summarised in a public report or blog post by early 2027.

Heel Tread says it is working toward partnering with a verified tree-planting organisation by 2026. The stated aim is to plant one tree for every pair of socks sold, with the initiative integrated into product pages, checkout, and confirmation emails.
