Refurbished phones and recycling

Recycle your old phone so it doesn't go to waste. Buy a refurbished phone, which saves you money and is more sustainable. Did you know that the UK has 55 million unused phones sitting in drawers? Get any old phones out of your drawers and back into the world. This will help us create a circular economy for phones, reduce waste and save people money. Find out how much you can get for your old phone at giffgaffrecycle. It'll be reused or ethically recycled.

Charity donations with members

Along with our members we’ve given over £1m to charity, including almost £100k in 2022. Our mission is to identify and support causes that really matter and bring communities together. £1,097,557.32 in charity donations since 2010

Up to Good Fund

giffgaff and media agency MG OMD established the Up to Good Fund – which directs a percentage of the company’s marketing spend into the fund, which is then distributed to environmental causes across the UK. Since launch, the fund has raised £249,000, partnering with climate platform Ecologi, to plant native trees, restore numerous habitats, and support specialist projects such as peatland restoration, woodland creation, wildflower recovery, and the use of biomass to sequester carbon from the atmosphere.

ESG Committee

To help ensure accountability, giffgaff has established an ESG Committee, chaired by the company’s CFO and supported by key staff from across the organisation, to oversee delivery against its environmental commitments.
