B Corp certification

Genumark officially became a Certified B Corporation in May 2023. As a B Corp, Genumark will measure and manage the impact of its business on its workers, community, and the environment with as much rigour as it manages and monitors its profits.

Supplier conduct requirements

Genumark requires all of its suppliers to sign its Supplier Code of Conduct, complete its Prominate survey, and/or provide their own documentation that provides information on their anti-forced labour practices and responsible supply chain standards.

Supplier diversity tracking

Genumark tracks and reports spend with women-owned, Indigenous-owned, and other equity-seeking businesses. It is a corporate member of CAMSC and WBE Canada.

End-of-life solutions

Genumark works closely with clients to find the most responsible solution when merchandise may no longer be needed, and prioritizes diverting items from the landfill whenever possible. In Canada, it partners with Brands for Canada to donate, debrand, or downcycle unwanted merchandise. For apparel items in the U.S., it collaborates with Everywhere Apparel, a circular solutions provider that can recycle or downcycle garments based on their material makeup.

Volunteer time policy

Genumark has a Volunteer Policy where any employee can take up to 30 hours (4 days) of paid volunteer time per calendar year.

Tree planting options

Through its partnership with TESI (TELUS Environmental Solutions Inc.), Genumark offers tree, kelp, or mangrove planting to any merchandise order. It also ran initiatives including planting one tree for every attendee at a Forward Thinking Webinar and planting five trees for every order over $1,000 during an Earth Month initiative.

Carbon and emissions work

Genumark is tracking its carbon offsets through freight programs and working with BCorp and NetZero suppliers. It is also planning to audit its Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions to establish a baseline, and later set greenhouse gas reduction targets for the business.
