Uses locally sourced leather

We use locally sourced 2-3mm vegetable oak tanned cow leather. Every piece of leather absorbs dye differently. All processes are done by hand including hand-painting and hand-stitching. All edges are burnished / finished.

How To Clean and Condition Leather: The only thing you need in order to care for your product, is neatsfoot oil or olive oil. Using a clean, slightly damp cloth, gently wipe down your leather to remove any visible grim or dirt. Allow to air-dry. Do not dry using and external sources of heat like ovens or hair dryers.

Advises annual conditioning

How To Care For Your Leather: Feed your cover once a year or so by applying a light even coating of neatsfoot oil or olive oil. You can also use our specially made Leather Balm for conditioning.

Discusses vegan leather impacts

Most vegan leather is made from plastic or petroleum-based synthetics, although very rarely they are manufactured from natural sources such as cotton, cork, or tree bark. The manufacture and disposal of at least one of these components, PVC-based synthetics, produces the toxic and volatile compound dioxin.
