Fluor Corporation Sustainability Actions

Achieved Net Zero 2023

Fluor achieved the commitment set out in its Net Zero 2023 initiative before the end of its 2023 financial year. In terms of the commitment made in 2021, it reduced its operational Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. To ensure transparency and accuracy, a third party assured Fluor's achievement for the first and second quarters of 2023.

Reduced office energy use

Since first measuring its GHG emissions in 2006, Fluor has made significant progress to reduce them. Numerous offices have adopted solar panels, light-emitting diode (LED) lighting and energy-efficient appliances as well as other energy-saving actions. In Calgary, the team implemented parking garage heating and rapid door, interior LED lighting and solar panels. In Gliwice, the team installed solar panels, motion sensors on interior lights and electric vehicle chargers.

Published sustainability disclosures

Fluor's 2025 Sustainability Data Disclosures include its three-year sustainability performance metrics and support climate related disclosure requirements, including California Senate Bill 253. Fluor says it uses the Global Reporting Initiative sustainability standards and the International Financial Reporting Standards Foundation’s Sustainability Accounting Standards Board standards for reporting purposes.

Expanded community giving

Through its projects and community engagement, Fluor seeks to leave communities better than when it arrived. Fluor focuses its charitable efforts and resources in four areas: education; public health and critical human needs; economic development; and environment.

Improved ethics and governance

Fluor strives to move beyond compliance with laws and regulations, approaching ethics issues proactively. It continually improves and enhances its compliance and ethics program by monitoring evolving risks and benchmarking best practices in its company, its industry and the global business community. Good corporate governance standards and strong leadership help implement its sustainability strategy across the business.
