Eyespace Eyewear Sustainability Actions

Sustainability audit in 2019

A detailed audit of our facilities, suppliers, customers and collaborators was commissioned in 2019 and a series of milestone green initiatives have been rolled out to every aspect of the business.

Solar panels and LED lighting

2023 saw the installation of solar panels at Eyespace HQ, generating a source of renewable energy, and all office lighting now comprises LED movement-sensor panels that will auto-power off during inactivity.

Reduce, reuse, recycle policy

We have a Reduce / Reuse / Recycle policy across every building, and we have switched to green energy providers and web hosting services.

Electric vehicles and local suppliers

We are phasing electric vehicles into the fleet with charging points installed in the employee car park, car-sharing for industry events and using local suppliers to reduce travel distances for goods into Eyespace HQ.

Sustainable frame materials

Our journey started in 2019, and we have since introduced sustainable frames to every brand in the Eyespace portfolio, as we surge towards 50% of products sustainable. The collections include premium bio-based acetates, G850 Rnew®, Econyl®, Greenline Grilamid TR®, recycled stainless steel, sustainable leather and sea bottle plastic.
