Ellis Wharton Wines are a B Corp Certified, award-winning Wine Merchant in the heart of Cornwall selling an interesting and unique selection of wines and spirits to both trade and to retail customers.

Packaging made from recycled material

Currently, all packaging used is manufactured using 100% recycled material and is 100% recyclable, biodegradable and compostable. A large amount of our wine comes packed in cardboard cases which are 100% reused or small amount recycled locally.

Staff training and tastings

We believe all our staff are essential in giving the best customer experience, therefore include all in staff wine training. Our whole team are expected to achieve at least WSET Level 1 and are included in regular tastings. We facilitate monthly staff wine tastings including a communal taste and key information on each wine.

Local sourcing and community

We are committed to and will continue to use local Cornish companies for business supplies where possible. Majority of customer base is in Cornwall, which has significant carbon saving for our business and them. Local hire policy in place. We serve our local community and commit to this policy too. Our chosen community charities we support include the Cornwall Air Ambulance.

Organic and biodynamic sourcing

EWWines have since the beginning sourced wines from organic, biodynamic and low intervention wineries.

We recycle our own and customers wine corks with Recorked UK.
