Eclosions Sustainability Actions

Discussed climate-nature synergies

Breaking down silos is essential if we are to improve efficiency, maximize impact, and drive truly transformative change on the ground. This report provides a comprehensive assessment of the risks associated with climate–nature silos. It highlights how fragmented environmental policies are leading to costly failures, missed opportunities, and unintended consequences at a time when planetary boundaries are being rapidly crossed.

Called for coordinated action

We call on governments, institutions, and funders to move beyond treating climate change, biodiversity loss, and land degradation as separate challenges. Instead, these interconnected crises must be addressed as part of a single nature–climate system that underpins human well-being, economic stability, and planetary resilience.

Hosted climate conference in 2025

The year 2025 marked a defining chapter in the history of the Foundation as it successfully organized and hosted the maiden edition of the MACS Global Conference and Journal Launch on October 30 and 31, 2025, at the Conference Hall of the MACS Foundation Global Headquarters located at The Partners Mini Mall, Abuja, Nigeria. Under the theme, “Climate Change: An Integrated Approach to Agriculture and Health Using Artificial Intelligence,” the conference brought together policymakers, academics, researchers, development practitioners, civil society organizations, students, youth leaders, volunteers, environmental advocates, development partners, and sustainability experts.

Promoted high-integrity carbon finance

Science that guides decisions, not justifies them. Tools like IUCN's RHINO Approach and the STAR Metric help us identify the right actions in the right places, quantify biodiversity outcomes, and ensure that any crediting is tied to real ecological impact – not assumptions. Safeguards and governance that earn trust, including ESMS, FPIC, gender-responsive governance, and transparent benefit-sharing, are the backbone of long-term legitimacy and community partnership.

Supported B Corp and ESG work

B Lab Switzerland maintained close contact with Swiss businesses, committed to our shared future, through assessment, engagement, and dialogue. The B Leaders program experienced remarkable growth, with over 55 new B Leaders trained in 2022, all eager to support companies on their journey towards B Corp certification and becoming purpose-driven enterprises.

Eclosions Sustainability Commitments

2026

Rio Conventions coordination

The year 2026 presents a unique opportunity, with all three Rio Conventions—UNFCCC, CBD, and UNCCD—meeting this year. These Conferences of the Parties can help strengthen coordination across reporting systems and action plans, build stronger scientific consensus, and mobilize greater investment in initiatives that deliver multiple environmental and social benefits simultaneously.

2023

Policy work and new tools

We seek to continue to tackle society’s most pressing issues in 2023 via policy work pushing for meaningful legal change around corporate accountability for positive impact, the creation of new tools to shift leadership culture towards a collaborative approach, and creating opportunities and organizing gatherings that promote a spirit of collaboration.
