Dinoski states that it wants to keep the great outdoors great by protecting it through its clothing and adventures. The brand says it encourages a greater love for nature by getting people outside and aims to empower the next generation to care more about the welfare of the planet. Its sustainability content focuses on recycled materials, product longevity, resale, lower-impact fulfilment, community events, and store design choices. The brand also says it is working hard to choose fabrics, materials and processes which best protect the planet, while noting that it does not claim to be perfect.

Dinoski Sustainability Actions

Swapped to RPET

In 2019 we made the decision to swap polyester for RPET. Transforming disused plastic into clothing to save it from the ocean or landfill seemed like (and still seems like) the best option for anyone in the fashion industry who wants to protect the planet. The manufacturing process of RPET is also said to generate 60% less water pollution than virgin PET and far less CO2 emissions. We’ve now recycled almost 1,000,000 plastic bottles into epic kids clothing.

Uses recycled and bamboo materials

All of our Snow Suits, Coats, Swimwear, Sportswear, Beanies & Helmet Covers are made from recycled plastic bottles. The post-consumer bottles are cleaned, chopped into flake, melted into chip and then turned into yarn. The two suppliers that we use for this are REPREVE® & FENC® TopGreen®. Our Base Layers and Neck Warmers are made from Bamboo which has eco-friendly, thermal-regulating properties as well as being breathable, hypoallergenic and antimicrobial.

Offers pre-loved resale

In partnership with Little Loop, Roarsome offers a pre-loved service that extends product lifecycle. This initiative reduces waste and promotes circular economy. Re-selling kids clothing saves up to 79% of carbon emissions associated with sending an item to landfill!

Changed fulfilment operations

In 2021 we transitioned our entire warehousing and fulfilment programme to Green Fulfilment as part of a long term partnership, focused on reducing our environmental impact. This has ensured that we use paper instead of plastic as void fill when packing orders; we use paper based packing tape rather than polystyrene; we use power-saving, automatic shut-off lights in offices; all plastics & cardboards are recycled; online reporting has eliminated print outs; we use biodegradable mailing bags.

Runs annual summit and beach clean

Our annual Roarsome Summit is a three-day adventure weekend that promotes outdoor activities, environmental education, and community engagement, fostering a deeper connection to nature among families. Every year this weekend culminates in a big community beach clean, empowering kids to care for our planet as they grow up.
