Danone describes its sustainability roadmap as the Danone Impact Journey, reframed in 2023 under the Renew Danone strategy. The roadmap is built around three interconnected pillars: Health, Nature, and People & Communities. Danone says its mission is to bring health through food to as many people as possible, while embedding sustainability throughout the business. The company states that it became fully B Corp certified worldwide in 2025 and that its sustainability commitments are grounded in its Société à Mission status. Its nature priorities include climate action, regenerative agriculture, water stewardship, packaging, and food waste reduction, while its people agenda focuses on workplace culture, upskilling, and human rights across the value chain.

Danone Baltics Sustainability Actions

Reframed sustainability roadmap

As part of the Renew Danone strategy, in 2023, we reframed our sustainability roadmap as the Danone Impact Journey. This roadmap, which grounds our commitments as a "Société à Mission" and a B Corp, is articulated around three pillars: Health, Nature, and People & Communities.

Achieved B Corp certification

Since 2015, we have also embarked in a B Corp journey, that we have achieved in 2025, being now fully B Corp certified across the world.

Set methane reduction target

One way we’re doing this is by setting ambitious targets, e.g., to reduce methane emissions from fresh milk, being the first company, in 2023, to do so.

Improving water access

We’re also developing plans to preserve and restore watersheds in high water-stressed areas where we operate by 2030, and use our 4R approach (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Reclaim) in all our production sites.

Reduced food waste goal

That’s why we’ve set the goal of reducing food waste by 50% by 2030, compared to 2020 levels, in line with the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goal 12.3.
