Calculated FOODPRINTs for recipes

Our impact team has made a decisive shift in how we're thinking about carbon. From looking through the lens of our direct footprint - eg the carbon we emit through energy used in our cooking and transport - we're now thinking in terms of FOODPRINTS: the carbon emitted in creating a COOK meal, from field to customer's freezer. It means we now take into account the carbon from ingredients (roughly about 80% of the total). Our team has been calculating the FOODPRINT of every recipe we make (they'll have done them all by April).

Redesigned Kids' meals

The first range to go through this Recipe Redesign process is our Kids' meals, launching in May. We've decreased the FOODPRINT by 30%, thanks to the use of nature-friendly beef, some new recipes, and tweaks to existing ones.

Re-launched Community Kitchen

Yesterday, at our Retail Collective for shop leaders in London we re-launched our Community Kitchen with a new look and a clear mission to bring people closer together over COOK food. Our shop teams provide discounted and free food to groups working to help local people connect over a good meal.
