Cloud for Good Sustainability Actions

Founded for nonprofit needs

Before founding Cloud for Good in 2010, Tal Frankfurt was the Director of Resource Development with a nonprofit working to serve at-risk immigrant youth. In search of tools to better manage donors, volunteers and those they served, he discovered Salesforce. His organization could not afford an implementation partner, never mind find one that spoke the language of nonprofits. Tal then self-implemented Salesforce, founded the 2nd Salesforce nonprofit user group outside of the U.S. and before he knew it, had founded his own company.

Adopted the 1-1-1 model

Inspired by the Pledge 1% movement, Cloud for Good pledges 1% of its technology, 1% of its team’s time, and 1% of its resources to strengthen communities globally. It says this is how it powers purpose and drives impact, and that giving back is accountability.

Volunteer time and giving back

Through Volunteer Time Off and its Goodies Give Back initiatives, the team works directly with communities, donating blood, mentoring students, reading to children, and supporting grassroots causes.

Committed to diversity

Cloud for Good says it is committed to building a diverse workforce that reflects the communities it serves, celebrating individual experiences while working toward collective progress.
