Conducted sustainability study

A study conducted by the Santiago Chamber of Commerce (CCS), the non-profit organization Acción Empresas, and CLA Consulting found that Chilean companies are showing increasing concern and allocating more resources to sustainability, but they still have a long way to go in putting these principles into practice.

Presented survey results

"These advances in sustainability should be just the first push. There is still much more to be done, and it depends in part on the conviction that boards have about this, that they are really willing to put sustainability at the center of their strategy because sustainability does not run parallel to the strategy," said Juan Carlos Eichholz, the founding partner of CLA Consulting, after presenting the survey results.

Highlighted governance regulation

During his presentation, the consultant praised new regulations such as one issued in 2021 by the CMF securities regulator, which requires companies to include sustainability and corporate governance information in their annual reports.
