Certified B Corporation

Langley’s Gin says it is serious about sustainability and is working to become the most sustainable gin brand on the planet. Its sustainability page describes support for organisations working on animal welfare, conservation and environmental protection, alongside donations through 1% for the Planet, a partnership with Panthera, recycled packaging materials, B Corp ambitions, and a commitment to carbon reduction. The brand also states that it is a Living Wage Employer. The content presents sustainability as part of production, sourcing, packaging and community impact, rather than a separate initiative.

Charter Brands Ltd. Sustainability Actions

1% for the Planet member

We’re proud to be a member of the ethical and environmental platform 1% for the Planet®, bringing together a global network of businesses, individuals and non-profit organisations tackling our planet’s most pressing environmental issues. 1% for the Planet® was founded to prevent greenwashing, certify reputable giving and provide accountability. The 1% for the Planet® certification is given to businesses and individuals that meet this high-bar commitment. 1% of all the revenue generated by the Langley’s brand is donated to this platform, irrespective of business performance.

Donation to Panthera

We have also teamed up with Panthera®, the only organisation in the world that is devoted exclusively to the conservation of the world’s 40 wild cat species and their ecosystems. For every bottle of Langley’s Old Tom sold anywhere in the world, we donate $0.50 per bottle to Panthera®.

Recycled packaging materials

The Langley’s bottle is made from 60% PCR (post-consumer recycled glass) and on our journey to becoming the most sustainable yet accessible gin brand on the market we’re pushing our supplier to improve this further. All Langley’s labels are made from 100% recycled paper. The outer cases of Langley’s are also made from 100% recycled cardboard and are from a FSC® certified source.

Living Wage Employer

We are one of the 7000 companies in the UK to be a Living Wage Employer. We believe our staff deserve a wage that meets their everyday needs based on the cost of living, not just the government minimum.
