Banish Sustainability Actions

Launched BRAD recycling program

Through her business, Lottie Dalziel has been able to recycle more than 3.2 million blister packs and divert over 18 tons of plastic from landfill in the past 12 months. This led to the creation of BRAD (Banish Recycling and Diversion program), which collects hard-to-recycle household items from consumers nationwide.

Closed retail operation

By late 2023, Ms Dalziel faced a significant challenge: the business that emerged from a commitment to sustainability relied on consumer purchases. Banish closed its retail operation and shifted focus to products made from recycled materials while expanding educational initiatives.

Created corporate team building

BRAD team building sorts actual BRAD boxes filled with hard-to-recycle household items sent in by thousands of Australians. They divert real waste from landfill. They leave with a verified impact report.

Set product listing criteria

The company developed the "Banish Sin Bin" – strict criteria that excluded items containing palm oils, parabens, synthetic fragrances, and plastic packaging.
