Founded as impact boutique

AvantFaire was founded in 2017 by a group of entrepreneurs and finance professionals, who are passionate about impact investment. Since our inception, we have become a signatory to the United Nations-supported Principles of Responsible Investment (PRI) and the International Finance Corporation-supported Operating Principles for Impact Management (OPIM), a member of the Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN), and a certified B Corporation (B Corp).

Published ESG and impact articles

To further strengthen our identity in impact investment, we proactively approach professional organizations and academic institutions for joint research projects, speak regularly in industry conferences and publish articles on impact investment, ESG and sustainability topics.

Hosted ESG education events

AvantFaire Investment Management Limited and China Daily Asia Leadership Roundtable co-organized a webinar on “Impact Investing and ESG in Post-COVID Economic Recovery” on June 7th. Around 150 participants from renowned international organisations, business leaders and investors attended the online panel discussion.

Moderated impact summit panel

Catherine Chen, founder and managing partner of AvantFaire, moderated a very lively panel at the Startup Impact Summit 2020 held on 8 July 2020. The discussion, titled “Impact & Entrepreneurship in a World of Change”, addressed how to build impactful, scalable, and resilient businesses from the ground up.

Spoke on ESG investment risk

Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) held a lecture in Hong Kong on “ESG投資新機遇的風險與回報”. AvantFaire’s founder and partner Catherine Chen was invited as a speaker and shared views on ESG investment concepts, trends, and practice, including how to set an ESG investment policy framework and how to incorporate ESG factors into the investment process.
