Asquith London Sustainability Actions

Plastic-free packaging

We set ourselves a target of having plastic-free packaging by 2021 and we are proud to say we have done just that. Made from corn, sugar, and potatoes, our packaging is now completely compostable and biodegradable.

Sustainability audit planned

We are going through a thorough sustainability audit of our entire company and all of the processes needed to create our ethical activewear. We will be hiring a Sustainability Expert to review every process of our production so we can make sure it's the best it can possibly be from forest floor to factory floor, for people and the planet.

Certified fabrics in use

Our sustainable activewear already has certifications from Oeko-Tex and GOTS. Plus our bamboo comes from a sustainbly managed forests.

Ethically made in Turkey

Our collections are responsibly made in a lovely, GOTS certified factory in sunny southern Turkey. Established in 1997 by a wonderful Turkish businesswoman, the 50-strong team work 8.5 hours a day, have weekends off and paid holiday.

Local sourcing and safe dyes

The factory aims to work with local producers and sources trims and fabrics in Izmir for Asquith so that there’s less impact on the environment. We also work hard with the factory to ensure that we pioneer sustainable methods of production to minimise environmental impact when producing our sustainable activewear. Our cotton is certified organic and all our clothes are dyed using safe dyes.

Circular use encouraged

We want to challenge our customers to think about how they can recycle old season Asquith. Our clothes are made from the best quality fabrics so they last and last but we want to encourage you to re-use and recycle your old Asquith. Whether that’s giving it to your local charity shop, to someone in need, or re-purposing it as something else.

Eco summit held in London

A couple of weeks ago we welcomed our favourite bloggers, yoga teachers and Asquith lovers to join us in London for the very first Asquith Eco Summit. We partnered up with our friends to share all that we have learnt on our eco-journey and how we can all help to protect the planet step by step.
