Aje Aware is Aje Collective’s environmental, social and governance program. The brand says it aims to make fashion more mindful, more conscious, and more responsible, with governance structures in place to manage ESG risks and responsibilities across the business. Its sustainability content focuses on people, product, planet and prosperity, including supplier due diligence, social compliance, environmental management, responsible material choices, carbon emissions measurement, and community impact. Aje also states that it became an official signatory of the UN Global Compact in 2022 and focuses on the SDGs for reduced inequalities, responsible consumption and production, and life on land.

Established ESG governance

Aje maintains an internal governance framework to support the effective management of environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks and responsibilities across the business. Day-to-day responsibility for ESG sits with the ESG Manager, who oversees supplier due diligence, social compliance, environmental management, and sustainability communications. Aje has established an ESG Steering Committee, which meets regularly to review ESG risks, track progress on key initiatives and support alignment across the business.

Joined SEDEX

Aje is a member of the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (SEDEX), an online platform that helps us identify, manage, and assess social and environmental risks within our supply chain.

Measured carbon emissions

Planet: Having measured our carbon emissions, we are beginning to take steps to reduce our footprint and care for the environment.

Completed living wage pilot

In partnership with Impactt, Aje completed a pilot project at its Bali studio, which resulted in wages being increased to meet living wage benchmarks.

Traced Tier 1 suppliers

Target 1.1: 100% of Tier 1 Suppliers Social Standards Verified. Aje and AJE ATHLETICA have traced 100% of our manufacturing facilities (Tier 1) and 66% of our Fabric Mills (Tier 2) as at 2025.
