B Corp certification achieved

In February 2021, Abac certified as a B Corporation. B Corps are organisations that meet the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

UN PRI signatory since 2015

In 2015, Abac became a Signatory of the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). Since 2016, it has annually reported its responsible investment practices to the organisation and has obtained a maximum score of A+ in its 2020 Assessment.

ESG reporting system rolled out

In 2016, Abac’s ESG Reporting System rolled out. The firm also obtained UN PRI scores of “A” in all modules assessed.

First sustainability report published

In 2017, Abac published its first Annual Sustainability Report and appointed Sustainability Champions at each portfolio company.

Responsible Investment Policy published

In 2019, Abac published its Responsible Investment Policy and became a Signatory of UN Global Compact.

TCFD supporter since 2020

Since March 2020, Abac has been a supporter of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, established by the Financial Stability Board to improve disclosure on climate-related risks and opportunities.

UN Global Compact status

In 2020, Abac was awarded UN Global Compact Bronze status after 71% of portfolio companies became Signatories of the UN Global Compact. In July 2021, Abac was appointed Silver Signatory member after 100% of portfolio companies became Signatories.

Portfolio B Corp certifications

In 2022, the first two portfolio companies achieved B Corp certification. In 2023, the fourth portfolio company achieved B Corp Certification. In 2024, Agroponiente became the fifth company in the portfolio to achieve B Corp certification.

Sustainability software implemented

In 2023, Abac implemented a sustainability reporting software to ensure transparency and data traceability.
